Every 4 years the 'Armada': Created in 1989, and held in Rouen every four or five years since, the ten-day Armada festivals for the finest sailing ships in the world attract millions of people, and figure among the leaders of the largest international events in the world.
Alternately, every 4 years, a large exhibition of painting on the theme "Les Impressionistes en Normandie" which meet the 200 major painting from major museums and private worlwide collections (early June to late September 2010)
